NCHIMA Delegate Assignments Delegates are individuals elected by members or appointed by the NCHIMA Executive Board to serve in the AHIMA House of Delegates, a grassroots member forum, to advance the HIM Profession. Serving as a delegate plays an important role in guiding the HIM Profession and advocating for its members and the association. NCHIMA has three elected delegates and two appointed delegates who serve a two year term. Each delegate is assigned one or more NCHIMA Region(s) in the state to support the region, educate members and to advocate and exchange communication about issues and topics related to the profession.
