The NCHIMA Education Committee is now accepting applications for the NCHIMA Scholarships! Scholarships available are: • $1,000 awarded to one HIM Student • $500 awarded to one HIT Student • $500 awarded to one HIT/HIM Student for the Mary Harvey Scholarship Eligibility Requirements: 1. Be a full time student in good standing in an accredited Health Information Management or Health Information Technology Program in North Carolina and be a member of NCHIMA. 2. Achieve a minimum GPA of 3.0 in college work completed. (Official Transcript required.) 3. Obtain recommendation from Health Information Management Program Director (HIM Students) or Health Information Technology Program Director (HIT Students) along with two (2) additional letters of recommendation. 4. Submit a typed resume. 5. Complete the NCHIMA Scholarship Application. All students eligible to apply are strongly encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity. Awards will be announced at the NCHIMA Annual Meeting in Asheville. Deadline for application submission is April 2nd 2010.
