Lisa Walter, RHIA
Lisa Walter, RHIA, is the Vice President of HIM Consulting at Optum360. She has more than 30 years of leadership experience in the health care revenue cycle industry. At Optum360, Lisa is the HIM Consulting business solutions leader for HIM subject matter experts providing HIM operational wellness and Optum technology readiness assessments, HIM technology utilization, interim HIM and Coding management, and coding and documentation auditing and education for ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, HCPCS, E&M and HCC risk adjustment coding. Prior to this role, she was the Managing Director of Mid Revenue Cycle Transformation Services leading HIM/CDI/UR process improvement solutions to achieve increased revenue and cost savings. Prior to joining Optum, Lisa held consulting leadership positions with revenue cycle management and HIM technology vendors, and served twenty years in various HIM management positions in Cleveland, OH and Charlotte, NC. Ms. Walter holds 2 Bachelor of Science Degrees: one in Heath Information Administration from The Ohio State University, and one in Business Administration Management from John Carroll University. Lisa is Past President of the North Carolina Health Information Management Association, and was awarded their Distinguished Member in 2010.
