NCHIMA Triangle Region has the following board positions:
- President-Elect/Vice President
- Regional Coordinator
Duties of President
The President shall be the chief elected officer of the Triangle Region. The President shall preside at all meetings of the members, the Board of Directors, and the Executive Committee. The President will determine, in consultation with the Vice-President, the regular agenda of all meetings of the members, the Board of Directors, and the Executive Committee. The President shall present a report at an Annual Meeting, appoint the chairs and members of committees (unless otherwise specified herein) authorized by the Board of Directors, and perform such other duties as are inherent in the office of President or as authorized by the Board of Directors. The President shall represent Triangle Region at NCHIMA meetings as a voting member of the NCHIMA Board of Directors. The President must be an Active Member of the Triangle Region as well as an AHIMA-approved certificant.
Duties of President-Elect/Vice President
The Vice President shall act in place of the President in the event of the absence of the President and shall exercise such other duties as may be delegated to the office by the Board.
Duties of Secretary
The Secretary shall be the official custodian of the records of the Triangle Region. The Secretary shall certify and keep the original or a copy of the Policy and Procedure Manual, these Bylaws, as amended to date, as well as a book of minutes of all meetings of the members, the Board of Directors, and any committees having any of the authority of the Board of Directors. The Secretary shall perform any and all other duties incident to the office of Secretary and other duties as may be prescribed by law, the Policy and Procedures, these Bylaws, or the Board of Directors
Duties of Treasurer
The Treasurer shall keep, or cause to be kept, adequate and correct accounts of all the properties and financial transactions of Triangle Region and shall deposit, or cause to be deposited, all monies and other valuables in the name of and to the credit of Triangle Region, with such depositories as may be designated by the Board of Directors. The Treasurer shall render to the Board of Directors, upon request, an accounting of all financial transactions of Triangle Region and a statement of the financial condition of Triangle Region, and, if requested by the Board, shall cause an annual audit of Triangle Region’s financial affairs to be conducted. The Treasurer shall perform any and all other duties incident to the office of Treasurer and other duties as may be prescribed by law, the Policy and Procedure Manual, these Bylaws, or the Board of Directors.
Duties of Region Coordinator
The Region Coordinator, in conjunction with the other members of the Board of Directors, will be responsible for developing the agenda for meetings, suggesting topics for meetings, recruiting speakers, and ensuring all materials are present and ready at all scheduled meetings. The Region Coordinators shall network with potential speakers and members throughout the entire geographic region and beyond, if necessary, to ensure adequate education is delivered to the membership. Region Coordinators shall be responsible for ensuring member voices are heard by conducting member engagement surveys, networking, etc.
